Slovakia's second-largest airport, in Košice - Barca just south of the city — roughly 10 minutes by car to the centre in normal traffic. Single terminal, compact arrivals hall, straightforward meet & greet.
It handled about 828,000 passengers in 2025, up 12% year on year. Eight airlines currently serve around 18 destinations, with hub connections to Vienna, Zurich and Warsaw — most international passengers arrive on a connecting flight rather than a point-to-point route.  
The airport is the gateway to eastern Slovakia and a practical entry point for the surrounding border regions. Uzhhorod lies about 99 km away and Miskolc 88 km.
