So we travelled 4 hrs by bus and 9.5 hrs flight time to arrive in Scotland at 0830 Monday morning (0330 in Thomasville). We had a hire waiting to take us to the hotel where we dropped our bags off. At 1000, our private hire, Colin at Trident Private Hire, picked us up from the hotel and drove us to historic St. Andrews. Once there, we walked the grounds where golf originated, including the 18th hole and Swilcan bridge. Later we shopped and had lunch at Dunvegan Pub where the caddies, golfers, and celebrities dine/drink after playing the Old Course. We visited St Andrews Cathedral, St Andrews castle ruins, and St Andrews University. After the day spent in this picturesque town, we stayed awake (mostly) for the return trip to Glasgow
