Taxi Minnesota
Welcome

TaxiMinnesota.com has a transportation history that reaches back to an earlier era of Minnesota passenger service, but today's Taxi Minnesota is a new operation under new ownership. The current owners are not the same owners or operators associated with the historical businesses that previously used the name, domain or related transportation identities.

The Taxi Minnesota name and TaxiMinnesota.com domain have changed ownership over the years. Earlier uses of the name and domain were associated with transportation in the southern Twin Cities area, including operations connected with names such as CityCab Bloomington, Bloomington City Taxi and Bloomington City Cab. Those historical operations focused heavily on Bloomington and surrounding communities such as Richfield and Edina, serving neighborhoods, businesses, hotels, Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport and the commercial corridor surrounding I-494.

That history is part of the background of the TaxiMinnesota.com domain and name; it should not be interpreted as continuous ownership or as a claim that today's Taxi Minnesota is the same company that operated those earlier services. Ownership, management and operations have changed. The historical operators are not the present owners of Taxi Minnesota.

The transportation industry itself has also changed significantly. Traditional telephone dispatch and local taxi stands were gradually supplemented by websites, online reservations, smartphones and eventually rideshare platforms. As transportation changed, the TaxiMinnesota.com name and domain passed through different periods of ownership and use.

In 2026, Taxi Minnesota entered a new chapter under its current independent ownership. The modern operation was developed around pre-arranged statewide transportation rather than recreating the former Bloomington-area taxi operation. TaxiMinnesota.com serves as the primary website for the current Taxi Minnesota operation, with TaxiMin.com maintained as an additional official domain.

Today's Taxi Minnesota provides pre-arranged private car service, long-distance transportation, airport transportation, hourly private-driver service, tourism and sightseeing transportation, rural and small-town pickups, stranded-passenger transportation, corporate and business travel, hotel and resort transportation, college transportation, event transportation, multiple-stop service and customized itineraries.

Transportation requests may originate from eligible cities, towns, villages and rural communities throughout Minnesota. Service includes areas such as Rochester, Duluth, St. Cloud, Mankato, Moorhead, Bemidji, Brainerd, Winona, Alexandria, Willmar, Marshall, Owatonna, Faribault, Red Wing, Albert Lea, Austin, Grand Rapids, Hibbing and International Falls, along with smaller communities throughout Minnesota's 87 counties.

A major part of the current operating model is serving passengers outside areas where transportation is readily available. A customer may need transportation from a small town to an airport, from a rural hotel to another city, between communities several hours apart, or simply need a private driver for several hours. The modern Taxi Minnesota was built to accommodate these types of pre-arranged transportation requests.

Taxi Minnesota can transport passengers TO Minneapolis and Saint Paul from eligible pickup locations elsewhere in Minnesota. However, the current operation does not arrange pickups originating within the Minneapolis or Saint Paul city limits. Passengers elsewhere in Minnesota may still request transportation into the Twin Cities, including qualifying airport and long-distance trips.

Taxi Minnesota operates within a parent-company structure that owns or manages other transportation brands. Those brands are intentionally maintained as separate operations and should not be interpreted as alternative names for Taxi Minnesota. Reservation systems, insurance coverage, operating policies, service areas and legal responsibilities may differ between individual transportation operations.

Maintaining this separation is intentional. It provides clear distinctions for passengers, insurers, drivers and business partners while allowing individual transportation brands to remain independently identifiable. The structure also provides flexibility if an individual brand, website or transportation operation changes ownership or management in the future.

The history of TaxiMinnesota.com therefore represents more than one ownership period. The historical Bloomington-area operations belong to an earlier chapter. The current Taxi Minnesota represents a new chapter under different ownership, with a different statewide, pre-arranged transportation model.

We respect the history associated with the Taxi Minnesota name and TaxiMinnesota.com while being equally clear about where that history ends and the current company begins. Today's owners did not own or operate the former Bloomington-area businesses. The current operation is independently owned and managed, and its services, policies, reservations and responsibilities belong to the present-day Taxi Minnesota operation.
