If you missed this week’s Workshop Wednesday, we covered a lot of ground starting with a recap of the CDNLA show in Las Vegas and ending with four platform announcements that directly address the most time-consuming parts of running a ground transportation business. Here’s what you need to know.

We Were in Vegas — and So Were You

Our team of nine hit the floor at CDNLA, and the GNet user group session was standing room only. A few highlights worth celebrating: congratulations to Magnus Müller of One Chauffeur (Germany) for winning a Premium Connect subscription, and to Gary Bular and Sultan Debbe for taking home Professional subscriptions. We also co-sponsored Affiliate Central — and more than half of the 110 tables were either existing or new GNet members. That’s the network in action.

You can watch the full session on the GNet YouTube channel.

GNet Connect: Your Business Profile Is Your Sales Tool

GNet Connect is your marketplace — a discovery platform where 5,400 operators across 80+ countries can find you, vet you, and book with you. Think of it like LinkedIn for ground transportation: if your profile is incomplete, you’re invisible.

If you haven’t filled out your services, fleet details, and market coverage, now is the time. Operators looking for partners in your area are searching right now. An incomplete profile means they’re finding someone else.

New: Document Management and COI Verification

Managing compliance documents has historically meant email chains, PDF attachments, and a lot of back-and-forth. That changes now.

Document management is live in GNet Connect, allowing partners to view or request documents — airport permits, certificates of insurance, and more — directly through the platform. No more hunting through inboxes.

More importantly, we’ve integrated COI verification: the system actively monitors whether a policy is valid and flags changes or cancellations within an hour. If a partner’s coverage lapses, you’ll know before it becomes your problem. This is currently live for beta customers in the US and Canada, with European expansion and full member rollout coming in approximately three months.

New: The Smart Email Agent

Booking requests sent by email are a daily reality for most operators — and a daily time drain. Customers write in unstructured prose: wrong formats, missing fields, vague pickup details. Someone on your team has to decode it and manually enter it into your reservation system.

The Smart Email Agent eliminates that step. Forward any free-text booking request to the agent, and it structures the data — pickup time, location, drop-off, passenger count — and sends back a clean link for review. It handles multi-leg trips. It connects directly to your reservation system for import. No copy-pasting.

One of our attendees, Paula from Chicago CoachWorks, put it well: any solution that reduces the amount of manual cleanup on incoming reservations is a win. We’re also building a “mini CRM” layer on top of this — so the system will learn your customers over time and handle vague requests like “pick up my wife from home” without needing a follow-up call.

New: GRate — Affiliate Pricing That Runs Itself

Setting and maintaining affiliate rate tables is one of the least glamorous parts of running a transportation business. It’s time-consuming, it goes stale quickly, and most operators don’t update them as often as they should.

GRate is designed to fix that. Rather than requiring you to configure rate tables, GRate learns from your existing reservation data and generates affiliate rates dynamically — accounting for variables like traffic, time of day, and trip history. Rates adjust continuously. You don’t touch a table.

A few things to know: GRate is specifically for partner-to-partner affiliate rates, not retail or corporate pricing. If you need fixed rates for your own customers, your reservation system’s native tables are still the right tool. But if you want a smarter, lower-maintenance solution for affiliate queries, GRate is built for that.

What’s Coming Next

The next Workshop Wednesday will be dedicated entirely to setting up your GNet Connect portal — profile optimization, document uploads, and how to maximize your visibility to potential partners. Watch for the announcement in the GNet Users Facebook Group.

Questions about setup? Email [email protected] and a team member will schedule time to walk you through it.
